Lovely spot

A lovely spot on the banks of the Loire river. A Short and pleasant walk into town. Busy spot, even when we visited in March but worth visiting. Only spent one night here as we made our way back towards Rosslare but glad we did.

Belle grande aire

Belle grande aire avec tout les services. Très calme la nuit. Très bon endroit pour visiter Saumur. Nous reviendrons. Il faisait beau mais j’imagine qu’en temps de pluie il fait assez boueux.

Tranquille et proche de la ville et ses pistes cyclables

Perfect location

Great location for a visit to Saumur, just a short walk into town, we visited the chateau and the distillery. Possibility to venture further by using the many cycle routes accessible nearby. The only downside on this park was that by allowing 35 vans they were very close together, but we know that the 6 metre rule between units that we are used to in the UK does not seem to apply in Europe

Lovely stopover next to the Loire river

A fabulous site location next to the river Loire. The view of the castle is best seen by the entrance to site as the view is mostly blocked by the athletics stadium next to the site. There is a fabulous Auberge a short walk from the site - highly recommended! There is also a good looking tapas bar on a floating barge on the opposite side of the island that the CCP is on and is a similar short walk. The town attractions are a longer walk away but very manageable. A stop here is recommended.
