Surprisingly good stopover

First time using this aire and we were pleasantly surprised. Plenty of space and really quiet nearly all with EHU . Easy stroll to the plage you can walk for as long as you want . We went on the giant dragon who lives in his house by the beach ( unbelievable and lots of fun) Perfect after Le Shuttle

Good for tunnel crossing

Massive aire gets very busy security gates no longer there, so anyone can walk in. Some road noise and loud music from over the road.

Stellplatz gut ausgebaut

Gut ausgebauter Stellplatz mit großzügiger Ver- und Entsorgung. Gut für den Besuch der wirklich tollen Strandpromenade oder auch der Stadt, welche sich aber nicht wirklich schön präsentiert. Wir würden den Platz empfehlen!

Toller Platz

Toller Platz um Calais zu erkunden. Nich weit zu den schönen Stränden. Mit dem Rad schnell in der Stadt

Convenient

Huge site, good for the tunnel and/or ferry. 5 mins walk to the beach. As you arrive at the campsite entrance turn left for the entrance to the aire. Services (water and waste) are just before the entrance barrier. A bread van came around in the morning I assume that's daily

Good but could be even better

Love this aire and have used it for 3/4 years as our starting and finishing point before returning to the tunnel. The aire has barriers both sides has all your amenities my only negative is the gates could be closed to stop anybody entering before we had a code to get out but now there open all the time. That’s all I can moan about has room for a lot of vans as well great resting aire.

Heel mooie camperplaats, wel soms heel druk vanwege de ferry. Calais zelf fantastisch mooi net proper strand. Beter dan de Belgische kust. Het enige nadeel hier is wel dat de plaatsen slecht zijn aangeduid. Bijna iedereen verplaats zijn camper verschillende keren om toch goed te staan. Zaterdagnacht waren er nog 5 plaatsen over dus De camperplaat kan de toestroom aan. Maar beter afgebakende plaatsen zouden helpen. Nu moet je zien hoe het gras ligt om je daar op te centreren. Lukt dus niet altijd.

Great location

Great location however feel it’s overpriced for what it is. Boundaries not obvious which allows people to park where and how they like. Not far from a nice sandy beach. Handy for ferry or tunnel.
