A castle stopover
This is a perfect spot, large pitches under beautiful trees, up against the castle walls. Most pitches had both water and EHU. Toilets and showers were open and very clean. 6 min walk to an amazing restaurant on the banks of the Charente. Cars and trains, we're a bit noisy, but worth the ear plugs.

Lovely site, right under the Chateau, big pitches, short walk to the town, not many facilities there, The Quay shouldn't be missed, although the setting is far better than the food but we only tried the first restaurant on the riverbsnk

Spotless site with amazing scenery
This is a gem of a site, right at the foot of the Chateau. Clean facilities, stayed 2 nights and they were cleaned both days. Nice short walk along the river to a few bar / restaurants.

Our First Overnight CCP Stop.....
Arrived mid afternoon looking for somewhere to stay for one night. We have never used Camping-carpark before so decided to try. It was very easy to open an account and register. The facilities were complete with several toilets, several hot showers although l couldn't get it very hot in my shower but more than adequate. The facilities are a little bit dated but very clean and very functional and again very clean and tidy.Overall a very nice experience for both my wife and I.

Beautiful hidden gem
Set amongst trees, nestled against the old castle walls, this is an ideal stopover spot. Even has a toilet and shower block. Cafes within 10 minutes walk. Free walks around castle grounds. Lovely walks alongside the river.

Nice Stop Over
Perfect place for a stopover. Unfortunately nothing to keep you in the area. The pitches are very generous lots of shade and a lovely walk up to the Abbey. The Showers and toilets were spotless. The passing train didn't really bother us. We had a very peaceful sleep. Ray Whitby Cleethorpes UK.June 24
